Install the Artshell apps (Mobile and Desktop)

Introduction

You can use Artshell directly in your browser or install it as an app on your computer or mobile device.

The app offers the same experience as the web version, but it lets you access the software more quickly, receive notifications, and always have Artshell available among the apps on your device.

In this guide, you'll find instructions for installing Artshell on:

• Mac
• Windows
• iPhone and iPad
• Android

 Why install the app?

The app uses the same features as the web version, but offers some practical advantages:

• On smartphones and tablets, you can enable login via facial recognition or fingerprint recognition, allowing you to access Artshell more quickly and securely;
• You can launch Artshell directly from the desktop or the device's Home screen;
• You don't have to type in the website address or open your browser every time;
• The app opens in a dedicated window, without the browser bar, offering an experience more similar to that of desktop software.

Install Artshell on a computer

You can install Artshell as a desktop application on both macOS and Windows using Google Chrome.

macOS

1. Open Artshell in Google Chrome.
2. Click the " Install App " icon that appears in the upper-right corner of the address bar.
3. Click Install.

Once the installation is complete, Artshell will be available as a regular Mac application.

Windows

1. Open Artshell in Google Chrome.
2. Click the " Install App " icon in the address bar.
3. Click Install.

Once the installation is complete, Artshell will appear in your Windows applications, and you'll be able to launch it without having to open your browser.

Install Artshell on smartphones and tablets

If you prefer to work on a mobile device, you can install Artshell directly from your operating system's app store.

iPhone and iPad

1. Open theApp Store.
2. Search for " Artshell Platform " or use the direct download link: Download Artshell Platform.
3. Click " Get " or " Install."

Once the installation is complete, the app will be available on your device's Home screen.

Android

1. Open the Google Play Store.
2. Search for " Artshell Platform " or use the direct download link: Download Artshell Platform.
3. Click Install.

Once the installation is complete, the app will be available in the device's app list.

Update the app 

Artshell applications are updated automatically through the operating system or browser you are using.

However, we recommend that you always keep the following up to date:

• Google Chrome (desktop version);
• the device's operating system;
• the Artshell app installed on your smartphone or tablet.

This way, you'll always be able to use the latest features and benefit from the latest improvements.

Enable biometric authentication

The Artshell app supports biometric authentication on compatible devices. This allows you to sign in using Face ID, Touch ID, or your fingerprint, without having to enter your password every time.

iPhone and iPad

To enable Face ID:

1. Open the Settings app on your mobile device;
2. Select the " Apps" option;
3. Choose the Artshell platform;
4. Turn on Face ID.

From now on, you can use Face ID to sign in to the app.

Android

The procedure may vary slightly depending on the device manufacturer and the version of Android installed.

In general:

1. Open Settings;
2. Select App;
3. Open the Artshell Platform;
4. Check to see if biometric authentication is enabled, if available on the device.
