Within the record of a single artwork it is possible to take note the variation of some fields through time. The management of Information history allows you not to be forced to edit or delete the value of some fields, but rather add a up-to-date value. In this way, the system will show the most recent value as the default one, but it will allow you to check the the evolution of the values through time.
The fields of the record that support the management of the information history are:
In order to add a new value to the above mentioned fields it is sufficient to click on the button Activity present on the the sidebar of the artwork on the top left hand side of the screen. The system will then present you with a selection of fields for which it is possible to add a new value. Once you have selected the field to which you wish to add a value, it will be sufficient to fill in the details and press Save. The system then will update the record of the work showing the updated value.
Note: when adding the new value, you can insert the new one with an antecedent to today date. By clicking on the bottom detail panel, in correspondence with the icon Change date, a calendar will pop up allowing you to add the new value back in time, specifying a precise date in the past.
On the artwork record, in correspondence with the field for which you have added a value, on the right hand side a symbol of the activity on black background. By clicking on the icon you will be able to access the Information history of that field.
Alternatively, all the information history implemented in the different fields are visible in the Tab ACTIVITIES on the right hand side of the tab DOCUMENTS.
It is possible to add values also for a selection of works, for instance if I want to update the displacement of more than one work at a time. For the massive updating of fields please refer to the Bulk activities management chapter.
