Artshell allows you to simulate the positioning of an artwork on a wall. This feature is useful to provide a clear and immediate vision of the dimensions of a work, in case you wish to share or present the record of your work.
The system to correctly simulate the displacement of a work on a wall uses the dimensions of the work calculated in cm. It is then important that among the Details of the work, and in particular in the sections Dimensions and weight, the fields Height and Width are filled in correctly.
For each work it is possible to set a single image in View on Wall mode and it is not necessary that the image that you use for the View on Wall mode be the cover image.
It is instead important, in order to improve the final outcome, that the image be cropped and refined so that no white borders or of any other color be visible around the subject.
In order to abilitate the View on Wall feature for a work of your collection is then necessary:
- set dimensions of Height and Width in the details section of the work.
- choose the most suitable image for this feature among those uploaded, so that it is not one with white borders around it and that is one to be photographed frontally.
- choose from the three dots menu on the right hand side of the picture (in the section images of the artwork) the option “Set as View on Wall”.
At this point an icon of an eye will appear, above the symbol of the three dots, in correspondence with the image chosen. If you click on the image to open the image tab and from there on the eye icon on the top left hand side, you will see the simulation of the work on a wall.
