To access the Media section, click on the Details button at the top left, a drop-down window will open, here click on Media.
In the Media section of the artwork it is possible to add videos as well, as insight to the work.
By clicking on the button + on the right hand side of the search bar it is possible to open the media library of your account Artshell, namely the place where all the images, the videos, and the files are stored on the application.
As you may note the media library presents above the search bar three TABS:
- Images: here it is possible to upload images.
- Videos: here it is possible to upload videos.
- files: here it is possible to upload files.
In order to add a new video you can choose whether to upload it directly on Artshell or recall it from Vimeo or Youtube. We remind you that all the Artshell account are for the moment limited to a capacity of video uploads up to 5gb.
If you wish to upload a video directly on Artshell it is sufficient to select the video tab on top of the page, drag the video and drop it in the media library area, or otherwise click on + to the right of the search bar, select the video you wish to upload and proceed with it.
Note: We remind you that in both cases it is possible to upload more than one video at once.
Before beginning with uploading the videos the system will present you a window for each video you are to upload where it is possible to add the name of the file, a description, and some notes, in Italian and in English.
In case you selected more than one video to upload, and among these there was a video that you do not wish to upload, you can use the command “skip” (the arrow on the top right hand side of the screen close to the X to close) to drop the upload of that very video.
If instead you wish to recall a video from Vimeo or Youtube and add it to your media library you can use the “link” symbol on the left hand side close to the button +. By clicking there, a window will pop up and there you can paste the link to the video (e.g.: https://vimeo.com/329975063) where you see video link. Together with the link, to upload a video in the video window, you can also add the following information in two languages (Italian and English): name of the file, a description, and some notes.
We invite you to fill in the information in the various fields so to keep your media library as clear and precise as possible, so to avoid uploading contents more than once because you cannot find the image you needed even thought you had previously already uploaded it.
Once the record of the video has been filled in, by clicking on the button upload on the top left hand side of the window, the uploading process will start.
The uploading process is divided into two parts:
- the system starts uploading the video on the media library.
- The system, once the upload is completed, begins the phase of “processing”, namely the automatic conversion of your file to optimize it for the web.
We remind you that the uploading process of an image may require some time in case the file was very heavy or in case your internet connection was not very fast.
Once the media has been uploaded on the media library you can add it to the section Media of the artwork, by clicking on top of it and using the button add placed on the top left hand side of the screen. If instead you wish to add more videos at a time, you will need to select them by using the symbol to the right of the search bar next to the button +, and add it using the black “add” button on the top left hand side.
We remind you that it is possible to select and add 20 videos at a time at most.
