Exporting and publishing an Insight
Introduction
Once you've created an Insight, Artshell lets you share it in a variety of ways, so you can tailor your content distribution to your needs.
You can choose to generate a public link, accessible to anyone who has the URL, or publish the Insight within your Network profile on the Artshell pop-up platform or on a website linked to your Artshell account.
In this article, we’ll look at how to use the different sharing options and how to remove or update a published Insight.
Share via Link
The " Export Link " feature allows you to generate a public link to the selected Insight.
Anyone with the URL can view the shared content, even without direct access to your Artshell account.
To generate a link for an Insight:
- Open the Insight you want to share;
- Click the icon in the upper right corner of record;
- Select " Export Links."

The system will open a window containing the generated URL. From this panel, you can copy the link or open it directly in a new browser window using the " Open Link" button.
The generated link is public: anyone with access to the URL can view the shared Insight. For this reason, we recommend using this feature only for content that you want to make available to the public.
If you export an insight that has already been exported, Artshell will create a new link with a different URL than the one created previously. TO BE CONTINUED, BUG?
Publish an Insight
In addition to sharing via a link, you can post an Insight on your Artshell Network profile or on a website linked to your account.
This feature is useful when you want to make an Insight available in a specific location, such as on your Artshell profile, in a channel on the Network pop-up platform you participate in , or on a website linked to the software.
To post an Insight:
- Open the Insight you want to publish;
- Click the icon in the upper right corner of record;
- Select Publish;
- Select the channel you want from the available options.
Once you’ve selected the destination channel, the Insight will be published automatically if you choose the Network profile. If you select a linked website instead, a confirmation window will appear before publication to prevent the content from being published by mistake.
Note: To publish Insights on your website, your site must be compatible with Artshell synchronization. If you would like to enable this feature on an existing site, or if you want to create a new website connected to Artshell, please contact the Sales team at sales@artshell.eu. The team will verify your site’s compatibility and inform you of the available options.
Remove an Insight from the post
If you want to remove an Insight from a channel where it was published, you can use the " Remove from publication" feature.
This action does not delete the Insight from your account; it simply removes the post from the selected channel. The Insight will therefore remain available in the Insights section, and you can edit it, repost it, or share it via a link at any time.
To remove an Insight from a post:
- Open the published Insight;
- Click the icon in the upper right corner of record;
- Select " Remove from publication";
- Select the destination from which you want to remove the Insight;
- Confirm by clicking " Remove from publication";
If the Insight was published in multiple locations, you can select only the ones from which you want to remove it.
Update an Insight that has already been shared or published
When an Insight has already been published, the "online" label record in record , indicating that the content is currently visible in at least one published destination or is included in at least one link.

If you've already shared an Insight via a link or posted it on the Network or linked site, you can still edit its content.
To update an Insight:
- Open Insight;
- Click the icon to enter mode edit ;
- Make the desired changes;
- Click "Save" in the upper-right corner.
Once saved, the changes will be applied to the Insight. If the Insight is already online, check the published version and, if necessary, update the publication from the dedicated section.
Difference between a public link and a post
The " Export Link " and " Publish " options serve different purposes.
- Sharing via link is designed to quickly distribute content using a public URL. It’s useful, for example, when you want to send an Insight to a client, a colleague, or an external contact.
- Posting, on the other hand, is more suitable when you want to make the Insight visible within a digital ecosystem, such as your Artshell profile, a Network channel, or a linked website.
Before sharing or publishing an Insight, consider which method is best suited to the level of visibility you want to give the content.
Conclusions
Artshell lets you share your insights in a flexible way, either via a public link or by posting them on the Network or on affiliated websites.
With the Export Link, Publish, and Unpublish features, you can better control the visibility of your in-depth content by updating it or removing it from published destinations as needed.
