A

Attachment

This refers to an item contained within a folder. An attachment can be a text document, a file, multimedia content, or a graphic. 

Analysis

This refers to the section within an email or newsletter where statistics and other data related to the delivery of your message are grouped together.

App Fair

A component of the Art Fair Solution product. It is a branded app that the fair uses to manage exhibitors, the Artworks , and the scheduled events. If requested by the fair, the Fair app also appears on the profiles of the galleries participating in the fair. 

Activities

refers to a specific, one-time occurrence within a larger event that may last longer. For example:an exhibitionis anevent, whilea guided tourwithin the exhibition is anactivity. This term is used only in theEvents section.

Avatar

The image associated with your Artshell account. This should not be confused with your organization's logo.


 

C

Folder

Attachments folder. Folders are used to expand the fields of records Artworks, Events, Artists, Contacts). They are fully customizable and allow you to organize additional information according to your preferred criteria.

Checklist

PDF export type. This is a document in which the Artworks listed, useful for exhibitions, trade shows, or internal audits.

Consignment

Export type in PDF format. This is an agreement between the parties that sets forth the details and terms of the sale of the Artworks.

Document

The term "document" refers to all types of files generated through the Export function, such as arecord , acertificate of authenticity, aconsignment note, etc


 

And

Label

PDF export format. The content is organized into rectangles, and once the document is printed and cut out, it can be used as a shipping label or as a caption for an exhibition or trade show.


 

I

Insight

Artshell’s versatile tool for creating personalized and engaging digital presentations. Insights can include text, images, videos, and other multimedia content, organized into mini-web pages that are easy to share.

Invite

A feature of the Art Fair Solution product. The Inviter is an advanced feature that allows an organization to invite guests to an event created in its Artshell account. The Inviter is not enabled by default and must be configured in advance. For more information, contact the team at:sales@artshell.eu



 

L

List

A container that allows you to group and organize the items in your database (artists, Artworks, events, Contacts) based on criteria you set. Lists can becreated manuallyorautomatically. See the related article to learn more:Organizing Content: Tags and Lists.

Padlock

A feature that allows you to make the content in the Details tab private. Any document, image, or file marked with a closed padlock will never be included in exports or shares, unless you manually select it. For more information, readThe Padlock Feature.


 

M

Media

This term is used to refer to "multimedia files," that is, alldigital filesin various formats and with different file extensions, such as:

  • Audio:music files (MP3, WAV), voice recordings
  • Video:videos (MP4, AVI), animations
  • Images:photographs (JPEG, PNG), illustrations

Medialibrary

Unlimited storage space for images, videos, and files. It offers simplified access while ensuring efficient organization of multimedia content. Find more information in the full article dedicated to the Medialibrary.

Newsletter

a regular email communication containing updates, news, and information of interest. A newsletter differs from a regular email in that it is sent periodically to a group of subscribers, following a consistent format and structure.

Network

A space dedicated to sharing content among Artshell users. The Network is not enabled by default and must be configured. For more information, contact the team at: sales@artshell.eu

Operators 

Advanced search bar features, such as#tag,@Artist,Contact, etc., allow you to search for content in each section more specifically and are very important when creating playlists.

System 

A feature that allows you to organize content based on different criteria (such as date, alphabetical order, or date added). The sorting options vary depending on the section you are in.


 

P

Pop-up platform

A component of the Art Fair Solution product. An online platform that Artshell creates for an art fair. It may include various pages, such as a list of exhibitors, a section featuring the Artworks , and a calendar of events related to the fair. The pop-up platform is not available by default and must be configured in advance. For more information, contact the team: sales@artshell.eu

Privacy Policy

A document that explains how an organization collects, uses, and protects its users' personal data. Privacy policy documents can be found in the Privacy & Policies section of the Settings Panel.Set up links to your Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Terms and Conditions.

Historical

An Artshell feature that allows you to track changes to a work's data over time. The history is available for the following fields:valuation,location,price,acquisition, andinsurance


 

T

Tags

Tags are labels consisting of one or more terms that can be added as keywords in many sections of Artshell. Tags help you categorize and find content more easily. For more information, see the article“Organizing Content: Tags and Lists.”
