Delete an artwork

Introduction

If you no longer want an artwork to be part of your archive, you can delete it directly from the Artworks section.

Artshell allows you to delete a single record or multiple artworks simultaneously, streamlining database management when you need to remove outdated content.

This guide explains how to delete one or more artworks and what to check before confirming the operation.

Before you begin

Before proceeding, make sure you have selected the correct work or Artworks and that you no longer need the related data and content.

Warning

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone on your own. To reduce the risk of accidental deletions, Artshell requires an additional confirmation before completing the operation.

If data is deleted by mistake, you can contact our team to see if it can be recovered. Data recovery—or determining whether recovery is possible— requires special technical assistance and is a paid service.

What happens to linked content

Deleting permanently removes the record from your archive.

Images and files also available in the Medialibrary will remain available there, because removing them from record doesn't necessarily mean they have been permanently deleted from Medialibrary.
