The Public function for events
Introduction
The "Publish " feature allows you to make the events in your Artshell account visible within the digital spaces linked to the platform, choosing where to publish them and, when available, which content to display .
You can post events on various channels: your Artshell profile (the Network), if configured, on the website linked to your account (created with Artshell Synch Flow), or on other channels where you’ve been invited to participate.
In this article, we'll look at how to publish one or more events and how to unpublish them when you no longer want them to be visible online.
Where You Can Post Your Events
After selecting the events you want to publish, you can choose the destination channel from among those available for your account.
Destinations may include:
- My Profile — Your space within the Artshell Network, where you can showcase events based on your profile settings and pop-up platforms. For more information on Artshell’s suites and pop-up platforms for trade show and event organizers, contact our sales team at sales@arsthell.eu
- Linked Website — If you have a website linked to your Artshell account, you can publish events directly on your site. For more information on how to link your website to Artshell, contact our sales team at sales@arsthell.eu
- Shared Channels — In some cases, you may have been invited to post content on a channel managed by another user or organization.
Select the events to publish
To get started, select one or more events using the selection icon
.
After making your selection, you'll see the "Manage" panel which includes options for publishing or exporting content. If the panel does not appear (e.g., on small screens), click the icon
in the upper-right corner to view it manually.

To proceed with publishing, click Publish.

Post an event on your Network profile
If you choose to post an event on your Artshell Network profile, the system allows you to configure in detail which content to include in the post.
After selecting the destination, the " Public" configuration panel opens, organized into several sections. You can navigate through the available options in the side menu and use the toggles to decide which information to make visible online.

The available sections include:
- Event Details — In this section, you can choose which key event details to publish, such as title, subtitle, artists, promoters, venue, organizer, curator, links, and Contacts.
- Days and Times — You can choose whether to include the event's days and times and select which activities to publish. This section is useful when the event includes multiple activities and you want to control which ones are visible.
- Images and Videos — You can choose whether to publish the event cover image and any additional multimedia content. If necessary, you can manually select which images or videos to include.
- Folders — You can select which folders and attachments to make visible in the selected channel.
- Files — You can choose which files to include in the publication.
- Artworks Data Artworks If the event includes Artworks , you can decide whether to publish them and what information to display, such as details, price, price notes, cover art, and secondary images and videos.

Once you've configured all the settings, click " Publish " in the lower-right corner. The event will be displayed on the selected channel, based on the settings you've chosen.
Note on the lock icon: For images, videos, folders, and files, only unlocked content—indicated by an open padlock—is automatically selected for publishing, even when you use the checkboxes for bulk selection.
Locked content, indicated by a closed padlock, must be selected manually to be included.
This setting allows you to maintain full control over the content that is made visible online.
Update a shared event on your Network profile
When you post an event on the Network profile, Artshell shares the record online record the data and content available at the time of publication.
If, after publication, you modify existing content —for example, correct text, update a description, or change a folder that is already in the record you can use the Synchronize feature to update the online version.
However, if you add new content that wasn't present at the time of the initial publication—such as a new link, a new folder, or a new record item record you'll need to republish the event on the same destination channel. This way, the newly added content will also be included in the online version.
To learn more about the Sync feature, see the article on this topic.

Post an event on a linked website
If you choose to publish an event on a website linked to your account, the system does not open the full configuration panel, but instead displays a confirmation window directly.
The modal window displays the number of selected events and the website where they will be published. To confirm, click " Publish."
Once the action has been confirmed, the event will be available on the linked website.
Note: To publish events on your website, the site must be compatible with Artshell synchronization. If you’d like to enable this feature on an existing site, or if you’d like to create a new website linked to Artshell, please contact the Sales team by emailing sales@artshell.eu. The team will verify the site’s compatibility and inform you of the available solutions.
Update an event on the website
To update the details of an event that has already been published on your website, click "Synchronize": the online version will be updated with the changes made to the record.
Unlike publishing on the Network, when publishing an event on a website, there is no need to distinguish between a new publication and synchronization. After the initial publication, any subsequent changes can be posted online using the Synchronize feature.
This applies both to changes made to existing content and to the addition of new content that was not present at the time of the initial publication.
Remove events from the publication
If an event has already been published and you no longer want it to be visible in one or more channels, you can use the " Remove from Publication" feature.

This action does not delete the event from your Artshell account and does not change the data in the record . It only removes the event listing from the selected channel.
To remove one or more events from the publication:
- Select the events you want to remove;
- Open the panel Manage ;
- Click " Remove from Publication";
- Select the channel from which you want to remove the events;
- Confirm by clicking " Remove from publication."
If the event is posted on multiple channels, you can choose which channels to remove it from. Any other posts will remain active.
Conclusions
The " Publish " feature allows you to flexibly manage the online visibility of your events by choosing where to publish them and, when available, what content to display.
Publishing to the Network allows for a more detailed configuration of the content, while publishing to a linked website is done via a direct confirmation.
With the "Remove from Publication" feature, you can also update the availability of your online events over time, while always maintaining control over what is displayed on the various channels linked to Artshell.
