Introduction
Artshell Medialibrary is a key tool that allows you to centralize and organize all your multimedia materials in one place for easy access. Whether it's images, videos, or other file types, Artshell provides unlimited storage and efficient management.
With Artshell, you also don't have to worry about your images being too large for web use. The software automatically optimizes them for web display without compromising their original quality
As shown in the image below, the medialibrary features:
- Three tabs: Images, Videos, Files.
- A search bar.
- The icon to select media.
- The icon to add new media.

How to upload media
Images
Below are the steps to upload images one at a time. On the other hand, you can select multiple images and drag them into the Medialibrary window.
- Select the Images tab.
- Click the icon to the right of the search bar, select the image you want to upload from your computer, and proceed with the upload.
- You will now see a preview of the images being uploaded. For each image, you can enter a name, description, and notes. If you've selected an image by mistake and don't want to include it in Artshell, click the icon at the top to "skip" the image.
- Click Upload at the top left.
- Wait for the platform to complete the conversion process to optimize the images for the web.
Upload time: The time it takes to upload a file depends on its size and your internet connection speed. Larger files or slower connections may take longer. If necessary, refresh the web page. - Once the conversion is complete, you can add the images to your works by selecting the image and clicking Add at the top.
Videos
The procedure for uploading videos is the same as for images. The additional feature is the ability to link videos from external platforms like Vimeo and YouTube, with no storage limits. Artshell converts directly uploaded videos to HVEC format with a maximum resolution of 1080, ensuring smooth, high-quality playback on any device.
To upload a video via link:
- Copy the video URL from Vimeo or YouTube.
- Click the icon.
- Enter the URL of the video under Video link.
- Click Carica.
Files
Uploading files follows the same procedure as uploading images. Follow the steps under Images above, ensuring you select the Files tab.
You can always download the original file of any item—images, videos, or files—from the Medialibrary.
- Select the item you want to download (only ONE item can be downloaded at a time).
- Click the icon at the top left.
"Copy to Clipboard" Function
This function allows you to create a shareable link for downloading the item.
- Select the item you want to share (only ONE item can be shared at a time).
- Click the icon at the top left.
- Click Copy to clipboard.
- Paste the link wherever you want (chat, email, Word file, etc.).
- Click the link to automatically download the item.
How to delete media
- Select the item you want to delete (only ONE item can be deleted at a time).
- Click the icon at the top left.
- Click Delete file and confirm the deletion (the system prompts for this second confirmation because the action is irreversible).
