Introduzione
The Publish function allows you to make the artwork records in your Artshell account visible within the digital spaces connected to the platform, by choosing where and which content to publish.
You can share artworks on your Artshell Network profile, on the website linked to your account (if configured), or on shared channels where you have been invited to contribute.
The publication process is fully customizable: for each artwork, you can decide which information, images, attachments, and files to display in the selected channel.
Choose where to publish your artworks
After selecting the artworks you wish to publish, choose the destination channel:
-
My profile:
- Artshell Network: your public or private space within the Artshell network, visible to other users on the platform.
- Linked website: if you’ve activated a website integrated with your Artshell account, you can publish your artworks directly to that site.
- Shared channels: in some cases, you may be invited to publish content on a channel managed by another user or organization.
Select artworks to publish
To begin, you need to select the artworks you want to publish. Expand the box below to review how to use the Select function.
- Click the icon in the top right corner.
- Click on each artwork to select it. When selected correctly, a black checkmark will appear on the right side, and the green counter at the top will increase.
- Click the green counter to view only the artworks you've selected.
- Use the hand-shaped cursor to drag and reorder artworks for export or publication.
For a more detailed explanation of this function, refer to the article Introduction to the Artworks Section.
Once you’ve selected the artworks, the Manage panel will automatically appear on the right side of the screen. This panel includes options for publishing and exporting content.
If the panel doesn’t appear (e.g., on smaller screens), click the three-dot icon in the top-right corner to open it manually.
Click on the Publish option () to access the publication settings.
Choose what to publish
Once you’ve chosen the destination channel (Artshell profile, website, or shared channel), you can decide which content of the artwork record to include using a system of toggles.
Watch the short explanatory video below:
You can navigate through the various sections in the left-hand menu to configure the specific details to be shown for each artwork.
Available sections:
- Artwork data: use toggles to enable or disable specific fields (e.g., acquisition, rights, restrictions, etc.). This lets you control which information appears in the published artwork record.
- Price: use the toggle to include the price, and if needed, customize the amount and currency for each artwork, without altering the original value in the internal record. Activate the second toggle to display the "+ VAT" label.
- Images and videos: use toggles to choose whether to include the cover image, secondary images, and videos. You can also manually select or deselect individual items by clicking on them.
- Folders: select which folders and attachments to include in the publication link.
- Files: select which files you want to include in the publication link.
Once you’ve configured the content and selected the destination, click the Publish button at the bottom right to make the artworks visible according to your chosen settings.
