Sort and Select functions
Sorting
By default, the artworks section is sorted alphabetically by the surname (or pseudonym, if present) of the artist who created the artwork. You can change how the artworks are ordered by clicking the icon and choosing from the options provided:
- Artist (Surname or Pseudonym)
- Artwork ID
- Edited Date
- Creation Date
- Status
- Title
- Year
- Price
Each of these criteria can be ordered in Ascending (A-Z) or Descending (Z-A) order, according to your preference.
Select
Understanding the Select function is very important, especially if you want to export or share your artworks.
With Artshell, you can choose to select some of your artworks using the icon or select all of them with the icon that appears immediately after clicking the icon.
You can choose to view only the selected artworks, change their order, or deselect them.

Import or add artworks
You have several ways to populate your artwork section, all depending on the size of your collection or archive.
If your collection consists of only a few items, you can read the article Add, edit, or delete an Artwork and begin uploading your pieces manually.
However, if you want to upload a large number of artworks, we recommend choosing one of these two options:
-
- Request our Concierge Service: If your archive is particularly extensive and not yet digitalized, you can rely on our team of experts who will handle the import for you. Click here to find out more about the Concierge Service.
- Request the Data Migration Service: This option is for you if you have an artwork archive that is already digitalized (for example, within another digital system). Contact our Sales team to learn more.
- Use advanced import: A tool that allows you to import your artworks independently by uploading an Excel file. Click here to read the dedicated article on advanced import.
