Introduction to the artworks section

Introduction

The Artworks section Artworks the heart of your Artshell account. You can store an unlimited number of Artworks, in different languages, adding as many details and images as you like. When you first log in to Artshell, it’s normal for this section to still be empty.

Items in the Artworks section

The Voice Artworks in the upper left corner shows you the number of Artworks to Artshell.

Using the search bar, you can search for keywords within theArtworks records Artworks perform a more complex search using the operators.

The sorting feature allows you to sort your Artworks on criteria such as artwork ID, modification date, price, etc. For more details, see the following section.

The " Select " feature allows you to select Artworks.See the next section of this article for more information.

The ➕ lets you add new Artworks.




The Sort and Select functions

System

By default, the Artworks section Artworks sorted in alphabetical order by the artist's last name (or pseudonym, if applicable) author of the artwork. You can change the order of the Artworks the icon and choosing from the options provided:

    • Artist (Last Name or Stage Name)
    • Work ID
    • record Modification Date
    • record Creation Date
    • Status
    • Title
    • Year
    • Price

Each of these criteria can be sorted in ascending (A–Z) or descending ( Z–A) order, depending on your preference.



Select

Understanding the "Select " function is very important, especially if you want to export and share your Artworks organize them into tags or lists.

With Artshell, you can choose to select some of your Artworks using the icon or select them all using the icon that appears immediately after you click the icon

At this point, you can choose to view only the Artworks , change their order, or deselect them.






Import or Add Artworks

With Artshell, you can add Artworks different ways—it all depends on how extensive your collection or archive is.

If your collection consists of only a few items, you can read the article " Add, Edit, or Delete a Work" and start uploading your Artworks . 

If, on the other hand, you want to upload a large number of Artworks recommend choosing one of these two options:


 


The record

Below is an example of a record with some information filled in. To see all the fields in the record , see the article "Add, Edit, or Delete a Work."




The drop-down menu Details includes additional content associated with your record , such as:

  • Images and videos
  • Folders
  • File
  • Online

This icon allows you to enter edit mode and edit the record . 

Click this icon to open additional actions in record as:

Multilingual: Use the drop-down menu to view the record other languages. Currently, automatic translation of content is not enabled, so be sure to enter the information in each desired language.

Use this icon to close the record .

This icon allows you to view a larger image of the artwork directly in the record.

Use this icon to quickly access the images and videos associated with record selected record . 

This feature allows you to track the history of changes made to the data for a project you have recorded over time.



What can I do with my Artworks?

  1. Sort and organize them: Using tags and lists, Artshell lets you structure your database with complete freedom. 
  2. Export them: Share PDF documents that are automatically and perfectly formatted, with the details you want from one or more Artworks. Alternatively, you can choose to export to other formats: create QR codes, labels, consignment documents, and much more.
  3. Share them: Include your Artworks newsletters or insights.
  4. App Preview: Show Artworks in real time, in an elegant digital catalog, even on tablets and smartphones.
