Introduction
This article guides you step-by-step through the creation of personalized emails and newsletters within Artshell. Here you will find the required passages for selecting recipients, senders and inserting a text in your communication.
An important clarification to keep in mind within Artshell is the meaning of the word recipient.
Before starting, check that you have all the requirements to write your communication without interruptions.
Requirements
- Verify your sender email address. If you have any doubts, click here to read how to check if your address is verified.
- Set up at least one contact with a valid email address in the Contacts section (if you haven't already, click here to read how to add a Contact).
- Enter the link to your Privacy & Policy in the Settings Panel () of your account.
- Ensure you have correctly configured the DNS settings for your account.

Create a new email or newsletter
Step 1: Create a new blank sheet
Click the in the top right corner to open a new blank document where you can enter the details of your communication.
Step 2: Enter the essential details
To see the details of each term click on the corresponding box to expand it:
- All contacts: ti allows you to send your communication to all contacts in your address book.
- Tag: allows you to select one or more tags as email recipients.
- Your lists: select a list you have created manually. Click here to read how to organise your contacts in a manual list.
- Automatic lists: choose an automatic list. Click here to read how to organise your contacts in an automatic list.
Here, you must enter from which sender address, among those set up in the Email Settings section of the Settings Panel (), you want to send your communication. If you want to add another sender address, click here to read the article on how to set up other email addresses.
Here, you must specify the subject of your communication.
Step 3: Start writing the text
To write the text of your communication, click Insert text here... or any point within the blank document and start typing your text. Alternatively, you can paste text previously copied from other files (e.g., Word or PDF) or web pages.

Delete an email or newsletter
Step 1: Select the communication you want to delete
Click the communication you want to delete, select the icon in the top right corner, and then click Delete email. If you want to proceed with deleting the communication, click Delete again; otherwise, select Cancel.
