Step 1. Set up your profile
Before you start using Artshell, we recommend completing the initial configuration of your account.
Just a few simple steps will help you avoid slowdowns later and ensure a smooth user experience.
Here’s what we suggest you do:
- Set up basic information: complete your user profile, upload your logo, and configure any venues associated with your account
- Verify your email address: this step is essential to send communications. You can also add other sender addresses if needed.
- Enter your Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions: these are useful and required for sending emails and newsletters, and for online visibility.
- If you have a Premiere account, set up your team permissions in Users and Roles.
Step 2. Start populating your account
At this stage, you can begin exploring and enriching your account. Take some time to familiarise yourself with the Artshell Dashboard and its main sections:
To populate your account, you can either add content directly in Artshell using the icon in each section, or carry out a bulk data import.
Import with the support of our team
If you manage a large collection, we recommend using our Concierge Service — our team will assist you with importing large amounts of data. Click here to learn more about the Artshell Concierge Service, or contact our team directly at sales@artshell.eu
Import independently
If you prefer to proceed on your own, you can follow our dedicated guides for importing data via Excel file:

Step 3. Prepare to send Emails and Newsletters
Artshell is not just a digital archive — it also allows you to send customised, elegant, and professional communications to your contacts.
Before you start, make sure you have correctly configured:
- At least one verified email address.
- The links to your Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
- DNS configuration, to ensure optimal email deliverability.
- A newsletter subscription form, if you wish to collect new contacts.
With Artshell you can do even more:

Export your artworks
With Artshell, you can export your artworks easily and professionally, choosing among different formats according to your needs.
Whether you want to share a selection with a client, prepare a checklist for a fair, or generate a presentation PDF, Artshell’s export tools allow you to create clear, elegant, and visually consistent materials.
You can export artworks as online links, email templates, or PDF files in various formats (vertical, horizontal, or compact).
You can also generate work checklists or print-ready labels. Each export can be customised by selecting which information to include — such as images, technical details, notes, or prices — and tailored to different presentation needs.
